Why tint in winter?

  • admin

You might be thinking why would i get window tinting done over the winter months and perhaps put it off until summer is in full swing and it seems more appropriate to do so?

The thing is, there is a wide range of window films that each have their own properties and are specifically suited to perform different functions.

Solar films easily fit into this category because they control the amount of light, heat and glare that pass through your windows. If you have ever stood next to completely bare windows on a freezing cold night you might of felt how noticeably cooler the room was especially right in front of the glass. It’s not just heat that passes through the windows in your home the cold can be just as strong.

By applying the right window films to suit your specific needs you can reduce your overall heating and cooling costs and increase the level of comfort within your home. Thermal, low emissivity or climate control solar films help to retain heat during the colder months by reflecting interior heat back into the room, reducing heat loss and reducing hot or cold spots in your space. The good thing is when summer arrives these films also work to reduce heat build up, keeping your house cooler, your air conditioning costs down all whilst reducing the overall glare and US radiation that filters in.

Privacy is always a year round issue which both solar and frosted films help to improve as well as add a noticaeble all round improvement in the aesthetics of your space.

Another plus is that the colder months can be a tad quieter for flat glass tinting which means there will be a shorter turnaround to get a quote or for work to be completed on time. So if you are looking to get some flat glass tinting done over these cooler months, as an incentive I will be offering a 10% discount on all jobs up until the first day of Spring 2019…boom! If you have any questions please send me a message or click on one of the quote tabs and I will be in

contact.
